ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Emilia Lombardo, an Interior Design student with a passion for storytelling through interior architecture. I approach design as a way to shape experiences, centering every project around the people who will inhabit it.
I’m deeply motivated by the story behind every project. I love discovering who it’s for, why it exists, and the narrative it carries. I enjoy uncovering the unique challenges and unmet needs of a community, then exploring how thoughtful interior architecture can become part of the solution. I believe the strongest designs are rooted in empathy, balancing creativity with purpose to create spaces that are both meaningful and memorable.
My work is informed by research across design, human behavior, wellness, and accessibility. Whether I’m creating intuitive layouts, considering comfort and functionality, incorporating biophilic elements, or designing with ADA standards and inclusive principles in mind, my goal is to create environments that enrich everyday life and welcome everyone who experiences them.
I’m currently completing my Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design at the Interior Designers Institute, a CIDA-accredited program, where I was honored to receive the 2025 NEWH Scholarship. As I work toward graduating in November 2026, I’m excited to collaborate with passionate designers who challenge the way I think, expand my perspective, and create spaces that make a meaningful difference in people’s everyday lives.
"The most important thing in architecture is the way it relates to people.” — Eileen Gray
